"A House committee Tuesday defeated a measure that would have required insurance companies to provide coverage of treatment for autistic children," The Oklahoman reported today.
Fortunately, as Democrat Senator Jay Paul Gumm pointed out, "There's more than one way to skin a cat around here, and we’re going to do our best to try to stand up for these kids." Parents should turn their attention to SB 882 by Democrat Senator Judy Eason McIntyre. It provides scholarships for students with special needs.

You should know better than throwing out only half the story regarding this bill to watch.
You know that the bill will not be heard in committee due to being a democrat author in a very republican legislature.
Too bad you could not promote a republican author of this bill, but that would not be a part of the extreme repub ideology and agenda.
Maybe you should report on the republican legislators that want to allow school districts to ship unwanted kids to other school districts.
It not only that the repubs do not want to help these children, they want to seperate them from their families and isolate them and institutionalize them.

I don't think you've done your homework on Eason McIntyre's bill. I will be shocked if her bill is not heard, especially since the committee chairman is already on record praising the bill.
As for shipping unwanted kids to other school districts, I'm not sure what you're talking about. Please tell me more.
